I have a rather oily skin and at some point I gave up wearing eye shadow because it simply wouldn't stay put more than couple of hours after applying my make-up in the morning. Then after a friend recommended that I try an eye shadow base, I ordered this one with mixed feelings. It does have an interesting gold hue, which works as an eye shadow on it's own if spread thickly. Thinner layer, however, disappears very well under the eye shadow of choice and really does intensify the colour of the eye shadow tremendously! Now I understand why my eye make-up always felt kind of blah before. ;) It also does help keep the make-up stay neat for a longer time even on my oily eye lids. I find that applying a thin coat of translucent powder on my lids both under and on top of the primer makes a world of difference. I would like to note that I don't need my make-up to stay put in any special conditions, like a work-out at a gym - I doubt that heavy sweating would be too much for this product. However, it survives a regular 9-to-5 office day splendidly.
